Ecotherapy
There is a growing body of evidence and research which confirms that immersing oneself in nature can really benefit the healing process.
Movement can allow you to access your emotions and thoughts more easily. Movement can also allow you to have a deeper processing experience.
Ecotherapy combines nature and movement. Giving you the option to walk and talk means you can access the benefits of conventional therapy, whilst allowing time to be outside in nature, to share, process and heal.
I run outdoor sessions from my therapy practice at the foot of the South Downs, just outside Lewes. They usually last between 60 and 90 minutes. Before being outside, I provide an assessment session, indoors.
"Nature holds the key to our aesthetic, intellectual, cognitive and even spiritual satisfaction" E. O. Wilson
"Reconnection to the natural world - whether through gardens, animals, nature walks outside or nature brought indoors - brings a larger capacity for health, self-esteem, self-relatedness, social connection, and joy" C. Chalquist
